The Chinese language is spoken by more people than any
other single language in the world. The other most universal
language is English, which is spoken over the largest
geographical area.
With a quarter-century of unprecedented growth and
experience, Edmonton's Chinese (Mandarin) Bilingual program
has been giving students the opportunity to learn one of the
world's oldest and richest languages. No one could have predicted that it
would become the fastest-growing second language program in
any public school system and the ‘best Chinese language
program outside of China.’ Our growth chart speaks for
itself:

Today, almost 2000 students from kindergarten to high
school graduation are speaking Mandarin and learning to
write Chinese in a unique and comprehensive program during
regular school hours. The program is offered at five
elementary schools, four junior high schools, and three
senior high schools.

Where is this happening? In EDMONTON, Alberta, Canada. Learn
more about this internationally respected program here.
