The Edmonton Chinese Bilingual Education Association (ECBEA) is registered under the Societies Act of Alberta. It is also registered with the Canada Revenue Agency as a charitable organization.

The ECBEA is a non-profit, non-partisan organization of volunteers dedicated to promoting the learning and understanding of the Chinese language.

Centennial Scholarship Fund

In celebration of Edmonton’s Centennial and Alberta’s 100th Anniversary, our association established a Centennial Scholarship Fund as a way to celebrate this milestone of our multicultural city and this great province. Contributions to the fund will ensure a continuing legacy of scholarships rewarding student leadership, achievement, community service and citizenship well into the future.

If you would like to make a contribution to the Centennial Scholarship Fund, please complete the donation form and mail it with your donation.

An official receipt for Canadian income tax purposes will be issued to you upon request. Thank you.

Acknowledgements

The ECBEA wishes to acknowledge a 2008-09 Community Spirit Donation Grant received from the Government of Alberta, Culture and Community Spirit.

DONATION GRANT PROGRAM

Give back to your community and help make it vibrant and strong!

  • The Community Spirit Donation Grant Program provides an opportunity for non-profit and charitable organizations such as ours to receive a donation grant based on total eligible cash donations from individuals that have been received over a 12-month period.
  • We can apply to the program once we demonstrate we have received a minimum of $1,000 in total cash donations from individuals. The maximum grant available is $25,000 per year, or $50,000 over three years.
  • The provincial government will issue a donation grant to help support our operations, programs or capital projects.
